Joining the PhDOOS Network

PhD students working in the area of object oriented systems can join the network by using:

  • Wiki

           This will be the preferred way to submit information about yourself. As of today, Dec 20, 2006, the wiki server is not set   up yet. Please be patient while we are setting the new system to replace the old online form.

  • Online Form

For submission please follow the instructions on the form. Note that the submitted text will automatically be converted to HTML. NOTE: this is the obsolete way of joining and will be removed once we have the wiki running.

  • Email

If none of the above work, you can join by sending an e-mail with the subject "Joining PhDOOS Network" to dig@uiuc.edu. You should also submit a short abstract of your work. The abstract should be submitted as plain ASCII text (not more than 500 words). It should contain:

  • Thesis Title
  • Full Address of the PhD Student
  • Email Address of the PhD Student
  • (Optional) Address of the Home Page (See Below)
  • Nationality
  • Date When the PhD Started
  • Keywords (See Below)

There should be at least one but at most 4 keywords from the following predefined set:

1. agents 5. databases 9. frameworks 13. metrics 17. typing
2. analysis/design 6. debugging 10. knowledge representation 14. multimedia applications  
3. class libraries 7. distribution 11. language concepts 15. patterns  
4. concurrency 8. formal calculus 12. meta architectures 16. real-time applications  

Additionally, there may be up to 4 individual keywords.

All information (apart from the URL) are needed for the classification of your work. Please try to submit abstracts containing all the necessary information.
