Abstract:

This work is about the study of current middleware for establishing the links which could be done between approaches based on component-based frameworks for building middleware systems and approaches based on models which aims to generate and build a middleware system from its model definition. This work is illustrated on a particular non functional service which is the Transaction Service and is available at the following address: http://gotm.objectweb.org/. GoTM is a component-based framework for building heterogenous transaction solutions. GoTM works on the definitions of various models for designing an instance of a particular transaction manager by assembling existing components together and generating some glue for standard conformance.
