Abstract:
Object Oriented applications are of great interest today for its
efficiency,reuse,robourstness,wide range of applications,communi-
cations with other applications etc. This has lead to interest
and development of Object Oriented languages, tools, methodologies,
startegies,techiniques,engineering principles,metrics and other
related areas. It is found that there are many have proposed new
metrics for measuring the Object Oriented Appliactions while few
others have applied the existing Sotware metrics. There is also a
difference in openion of applications the above strategies.
Object Parallel Applications is of great interest today. Though,
the existing metrics can be used for measurement of the Object
Parallel Applications, there are certain issues like parent-child
relationship,number of subprocesses,synchronization,deadlock,
dependencies etc. have a greater impact on efficiency, complexity,
understandablity,maintenance of softwares,there a need for
development of metrics for such applications. I am working
on development of metrics for Object Oriented Metrics a
analysing their applicablity.
