Abstract:
I have concentrated on the development of a single unifying paradigm that can be used for wide area
distributed applications. I have been designing a software layer that can be placed on top of Java
programming language. This layer provides basic mechanisms for facilities needed by many applications, such
as communication, object replication and partitioning, consistency, dynamic deployment of application and so
on.
I have adopted a distributed shared object model. The fundamental idea behind the design of the Distributed
Shared Object is that it is physically distributed. Instead of viewing a distributed object as an entity
running on a single machine, possibly with copies on other machines.
